He graduated from Middle East Technical
University (METU) in 1985 with B.Sc degree in Chemical Engineering. He
received his PhD degree from the same department in 1995 followed by
post doctoral research period at Ohio State University, Chemical
Engineering Department. He joined back METU as assistant professor in
1999 and took positions as associated professor in 2001 and professor
in 2006. He served as department vice-chair from 1999-2005, chair from
2007-2011 and actively participated in ABET Accreditation Processes and
strategic plan studies of the department. He is working as program
evaluator and team chair of MUDEK Accreditation teams and participate
in training workshops as trainer. He is working on heterogeneous
catalysis field and teaches chemical reaction engineering, chemical
process safety, green and sustainable chemical processes and chemical
process calculations courses. |
